Energy Research & Social Science (ERSS) is an international journal founded in 2014 that publishes original research and peer-reviewed articles that examine how society, social processes, influences, social institutions, behaviors, and policies, relate to energy systems. ERSS investigates the social system surrounding energy technology and hardware. This is of relevance for energy researchers and practitioners interested in the social aspects of energy production, consumption and policies since it provides an energy analysis that looks beyond the dimensions of technology and economics to include social and human elements.
To provide an interdisciplinary forum for the discussion of how social and technical issues related to both energy production and consumption involving the human activities that shape how people interact with energy systems.
