Vincent Wales

I am an investment research, content and communications professional, based in Sydney. I currently work at AMP Capital. I have some experience in ESG and sustainability-aligned investing but am looking to develop this further.

PROFILE

I currently work at AMP Capital where I have worked closely with the Sustainability Investment Team. I have been involved in designing, implementing and maintaining sustainable and ESG and sustainability-aligned research and investment processes, collaboration and integration.

I also have been involved in writing and producing sustainability marketing and information collateral, and  active ownership (company engagement, proxy voting reporting and communications to ASX C-suite), ESG research papers (such as the Sustainability Team’s ESG and Sustainability Charter), PRI assessments, impact investing research and various other areas.

Ex the Sustainable Investment Team, I write and produce insightful investment white papers, research, content and marketing collateral, communications, and investment reporting across various asset classes.

I am passionate about the future of sustainable and ESG-aligned investment and believe we are at a crucial juncture in the investment and finance industry.

My key strength is my ability to bridge hard technical knowledge with soft lateral-thinking, marrying both quantitative and qualitative skills. In particular, I enjoy reducing complex themes and problems down to their essence.

Academically and professionally, I have an MSc in finance from University College London; with a focus on the future of global finance including ESG, sustainability and governance together with financial research methodologies. I hold the CFA Certificate in ESG investing. I am also a CFA Charterholder and a Chartered Accountant.
