Faith in RI is a UK-based advisory practice founded by Faith Ward MBE, a responsible investment specialist with nearly three decades of experience at the intersection of investment and sustainability. Operating as Faith in RI Ltd, the organisation serves as the vehicle through which Faith Ward offers her expertise to asset owners and the wider investment industry. Her background includes serving as Chief Responsible Investment Officer at Brunel Pension Partnership — a £35bn LGPS pool managing assets for ten local authority pension funds — until June 2026, and twenty years prior at the Environment Agency Pension Fund, where she led one of the UK’s earliest commitments to align investments with a well-below 2°C pathway ahead of the Paris Agreement.

Faith in RI exists to inspire, connect and act with asset owners and the wider investment industry, advancing the system-level changes needed to deliver long-term value and a more resilient, equitable world. The organisation’s work spans three core pillars: inspiring leadership through mentoring, peer support, and thought leadership; connecting investors, policymakers, academics, and specialists to raise awareness of emerging research and best practice; and acting with deep expertise developed over three decades of practice in governance, strategy, and responsible investment implementation. Key focus areas include climate and nature risk, transition finance, stewardship, and evolving responsible investment practice — grounded in the conviction that responsible investment, done well, is a discipline that protects and creates long-term value for beneficiaries, markets, and society.

Faith in RI Ltd is a sole-practitioner advisory firm led by Faith Ward MBE, who was appointed MBE in 2025 for services to pensions and the environment. She is a Fellow of both the CFA Society of the UK (FSIP) and the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals (FISEP), and a Chartered Environmentalist. Faith Ward chairs the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change (IIGCC) — a European-focused investor body with over 400 member organisations across 20+ countries representing $50 trillion in assets — and co-founded the Transition Pathway Initiative in 2017. She also sits on the UK Government’s Transition Finance Council, the ISSB Investor Advisory Group, and advises the Church of England’s National Investing Bodies through the Ethical Investment Advisory Group.

Faith in RI’s services encompass three areas: strategic advisory support for pension funds, endowments, and family offices on climate and nature risk, transition finance, governance, and responsible investment strategy and implementation; board and non-executive directorships providing independent senior expertise to strengthen institutional decision-making and accountability on sustainability; and thought leadership and systemic change through engagement with academic, government, and industry initiatives on policy development, research partnerships, and systemic risk. The organisation also provides mentoring and peer networks for investment professionals in sustainable finance, and curates a library of practical resources — including stewardship reports, investment principles, climate change policies, and case studies — made openly available via its website.
