Overview
Aurecon was formed in March 2009 through the merger of three engineering consultancies and is now a major Asia-Pacific design, engineering and advisory firm. Its stated purpose is “bringing ideas to life” by imagining and co-creating with clients a better future for people and the planet.
Mission and focus areas
Aurecon’s mission emphasises integrated solutions: design, engineering, advisory, delivery, operations and optimisation across the asset lifecycle. The firm places digital innovation, sustainability, climate change mitigation and circular economy principles at the heart of its work. It engages with clients on risk and assurance strategies, decarbonisation pathways and climate resilience — aligning with ESG integration and sustainable value-creation in infrastructure and assets.
Structure and governance
Aurecon is owner-managed across the Asia-Pacific region, with a global Executive Leadership Team reporting to the Group Chief Executive Officer. The governance framework comprises a Board of Directors (including executive and non-executive directors) which sets strategic direction and oversees corporate governance. The company operates regionally with dedicated CE’s for Australia, New Zealand and Asia, aligning operations with group strategy.
Programs and offerings
Aurecon provides a wide range of services: advisory, design, engineering, asset management, delivery and optimisation for markets such as transport, water, energy, property and infrastructure. In sustainability and ESG arenas it offers frameworks and tools for climate-change transition, circular economy, risk and assurance, and sustainability strategy. The firm also publishes annual sustainability and carbon-footprint reports, and maintains policies on ethics, modern slavery and supply-chain responsibility.
