Clean Air Task Force
Clean Air Task Force is a nonprofit environmental organisation that works to help safeguard against the worst impacts of climate change. They achieve this by catalysing the rapid global development and deployment of low carbon energy, and other climate-protecting technologies, through research and analysis, public advocacy leadership, and partnership with the private sector.

OVERVIEW
Clean Air Task Force (CATF) began efforts in environmental protection in the mid-1990’s, creating and directing a campaign to successfully force American coal plants to reduce emissions. CATF also supports the aggressive deployment of renewable energy to meet today’s daunting challenges. However, with the realisation that fossil fuels will not be eliminated in the near future, especially in the industrial and transportation sectors, CATF also focuses on carbon capture and other technologies.
CATF works with private companies and public policymakers to demonstrate and scale up carbon capture and storage, as well as supporting the advancement of renewables developments such as deep rock geothermal power, to accelerate renewable resources’ innovation. In particular, CATF works on harnessing nuclear energy in a safer, less costly way, while employing simpler technology.
In the daily operations of the company, CATF continues its vital advocacy and outreach leadership through projects to empower activists and policymakers. Once such project sees CATF attempting to cut methane emissions from the burgeoning oil and gas production in Latin America. Moreover, CATF push for international clean fuel mandates in the Arctic and they fight for and defend policies to reduce black carbon emissions in diesel vehicles, marine shipping, and biomass burning.
CATF promotes policies to ensure that bioenergy use worldwide is at least carbon neutral or if possible, achieves carbon negative. Combining all their activities that are contributing to a greener planet with their commitment to accelerating the emergence of new technologies, CATF aims to greatly reduce and further eliminate climate warming emissions.
CATF is a non-profit organisation determined to fight for a greener planet and protect our climate.
MISSION STATEMENT
