New Economics Foundation (NEF) is a UK-based independent think tank established in 1986. It was founded to challenge dominant economic thinking and to develop alternative approaches that prioritise social justice, environmental sustainability and human wellbeing. NEF operates with a mission to reshape economic systems so they work better for people and the planet, rather than focusing solely on growth.
