Overview
Rockefeller Capital Management (RockCo) was established in March 2018 as a successor to the Rockefeller family’s earlier wealth-management structures. It serves high-net-worth individuals, families and institutions, combining investment, advisory and wealth services anchored in Rockefeller legacy.
Mission and focus areas
RockCo aims to align capital with long-term value creation and legacy planning. It emphasises sustainable investing and ESG integration: Rockefeller Asset Management joined the UN Environment Programme Finance Initiative and offers ESG-driven equity funds. The firm also pursues thematic strategies—such as the “ocean engagement” or “blue economy” initiative, focusing on pollution prevention, carbon transition and marine conservation.
Structure and governance
RockCo operates via several core divisions: Rockefeller Global Family Office, Rockefeller Asset Management, and Rockefeller Global Investment Banking. Governance is overseen by an 11-member board and a management committee of about 48 members under CEO Gregory J. Fleming. Senior leadership includes heads of wealth, investment, technology, operations and legal functions.
Programs and offerings
RockCo delivers wealth advisory, family office and fiduciary services through its Global Family Office arm. Its Asset Management arm manages equity, fixed income, multi-factor and thematic mandates, and publishes investment insights and thought leadership. Through its “Entrepreneurs Group,” it supports entrepreneurial families with tailored guidance. The firm also produces white papers and strategic insights on philanthropy, collaborative giving and purpose-driven wealth. Its digital platforms incorporate security governance controls, including multifactor authentication and biometric verification.
