Amundi was founded in 2010 as result of a merger between Crédit Agricole Asset Management and Société Générale Asset Management. With respect to that latter factor, Amundi states that its ambition is to confirm its position as a world leader in responsible investment for a fair transition, with the objective of being carbon neutral by 2050. In its recently released  “2025 ESG Ambition Plan”, Amundi puts forward its further ambition for growth in passive management and the creation of liquid alternative investment, acknowledging the “ESG transformation” as a driver of growth.

Amundi has won a number of international awards for its work in responsible investment including the highest possible rating in all categories of assessment by the Principles of Responsible Investment. There is an Amundi Research Centre that contains publications related to its latest research and insights. This includes podcasts and video discussions that cover ESG related topics.
