- marshalling philanthropic resources.
The ClimateWorks Sustainable Finance Portfolio aims to catalyse financial and market changes that accelerate climate action. The Sustainable Finance Portfolio has currently prioritised three strategic initiatives—multi-grant transnational strategies targeting specific outcomes. It also incubates and supports activities across a wider array of themes.
- Climate Risk Analysis, Disclosure, and Supervision (C-RADS) initiative – The C-RADS initiative, which engages both market actors and financial authorities, aims to translate the sector’s increasing awareness of climate risk into the large-scale capital reallocation necessary to decarbonise the real economy.
- Entrepreneurial Public Investment for Climate (EPIC) initiative – The EPIC initiative aims to support the design and establishment of green investment banks and similar institutions capable of fulfilling the public sector’s potential to catalyse the commercialisation and deployment of low-carbon innovation.
- Chinese Overseas Finance Initiative (COFI)- China is investing more than $1 trillion in infrastructure across the 70+ countries of its Belt and Road Initiative. COFI is working to help the Belt and Road meet its potential as an engine for low-carbon development.
