Overview
Founded in 2016, Equileap is an Amsterdam-based organisation whose purpose is to close the equality gap in the workplace. Its overarching mission is to empower investors, pension funds and corporations to use data-driven insights to promote equal opportunities and inclusive workplace practices.
Mission and focus areas
Equileap’s core goal is to enable equality-driven investing by supplying rigorous social-equality data and analysis on companies globally. Its research covers metrics such as gender balance in leadership, pay gaps, parental leave and supply-chain labour rights. By aligning with ESG (environmental, social and governance) frameworks and supporting integration of social factors, it helps practitioners identify risks and opportunities tied to diversity and inclusion.
Structure and governance
Equileap is led by co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Diana van Maasdijk, supported by Chief Operations Officer Lotte van der Stelt-van Limburg Stirum, among others. The organisation operates from its headquarters in Amsterdam and engages in partnerships with index providers and research collaborators. In 2025 it became part of Denominator, enhancing its global reach in social equality and human capital research.
Programs and offerings
Equileap publishes substantial research, including global and special reports on corporate equality and diversity, benchmarking companies across sectors and regions. Its proprietary databases cover around 6,000 companies and use a methodology encompassing up to 48 metrics across gender, race/ethnicity and human and labour rights. It also supports investors through data-feeds, indices in partnership with firms such as Solactive, and corporate benchmark reports for companies seeking to improve their inclusive practices.
