OVERVIEW
This report presents Equileap’s Top 100 Ranking of public companies in developed markets based on their performance on women’s equality in the workplace. The ranking is drawn from a dataset of 3,547 public companies listed across 24 developed markets, with a market capitalisation of USD 2 billion and greater over the last two fiscal years. Research was conducted throughout 2024 and closed on 13 January 2025.
Companies are scored and ranked using the Equileap Gender Equality Scorecard™, which is inspired by the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles. The Scorecard evaluates 19 indicators across five categories: (A) Gender Balance in Leadership & Workforce, (B) Equal Compensation & Work Life Balance, (C) Policies Promoting Gender Equality, (D) Commitment, Transparency & Accountability, and (E) Gender Controversies.
The 2025 ranking is led by Transurban (Australia) with an 80% gender equality score, followed by Enagás (Spain), Storebrand (Norway), QBE (Australia), and GPT Group (Australia). The Top 100 spans companies from countries including Australia, the United Kingdom, France, the United States, Norway, Spain, Germany, and others. Equileap emphasises transparency as a key driver, as its methodology favours companies that make gender equality data publicly available.
