Shalini has been an Altiorem mentor since 2020. Passionate about targeting environmental, social and financial good in business and finance, she leads the delivery of the product Certification Program and Sustainability Classifications at Responsible Investment Association Australasia (RIAA), a peak industry body for responsible, ethical and impact investing in the region. She is also a Regional Standards Advisory Group member and a Consultant for Certification and Verification at B Lab, the global nonprofit network that certifies and supports B Corporations, companies that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency.
Shalini has a strong background in sustainable finance having held ESG research and engagement roles at Investors Against Slavery and Trafficking APAC, PRI, ACSI, and AMP Capital Investors. Shalini has also served as a nominated representative on the Commonwealth Attorney-General’s first Working Group on Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking prior to the tabling of Australia’s Modern Slavery Act. She teaches and co-designs the corporate sustainability management and measurement curriculum within the Master of Business at Monash University and has co-authored publications on ESG reporting and corporate disclosure in Australia. In her downtime, Shalini writes children’s books about the imaginary adventures of her three adorable pet bunnies.
