The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is a global service provider in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development and international education work. In 2025 alone, the organization implemented more than 1,600 projects worldwide.

Structure and governance
GIZ is a German federal enterprise governed by a Management Board. It operates with a global vision and local impact through a network of country offices, recently expanding its presence with new locations such as a country office in Syria. Programs and offerings
GIZ offers diverse programs including the Transport and Urban Mobility Initiative (TUMI), which focuses on low-emission, inclusive mobility in the Global South. It facilitates cooperation with the private sector, supports skilled labour migration, and connects international experts for research, such as vaccine development.
