We Mean Business is catalysing business leadership; driving policy ambition; and accelerating low-carbon transition. The coalition brings together seven international nonprofit organizations: BSR, CDP, Ceres, CLG Europe, The B Team, and The Climate Group.

The zero-carbon transition is underway and forward-looking businesses are harnessing climate action as a driver of innovation, competitiveness, risk management and growth. We Mean Business are mobilising businesses to set ambitious targets and equipping them to seize the opportunities of the zero-carbon transition. Hundreds of businesses have helped kick-start this transition by setting science-based emissions reduction targets and taking action to deliver against those targets by committing to transition to 100% renewable power.

Business is one of the key implementation partners for governments to achieve the climate targets laid out in the Paris Agreement. Corporate leadership is also vital to aid the necessary progressive increase in ambition of climate targets and to completing the policy enabling environment initiated by the Agreement.

We Mean Business encourages governments to create the enabling policies that support companies to deliver bold climate action at scale. This includes identifying key policy priorities for development and interpreting their impact for business. They also represent forward-looking companies and their achievements to government, to help shape the policy enabling environment.

The zero-carbon transition is at a defining moment, where the combination of bold business decisions and strong policy engagement can accelerate progress at an exponential rate. This presents the opportunity to deliver the dual goals of reducing global emissions and maximising economic growth. A collaborative partnership between business and government can ensure the transition is achieved at the speed and scale required, securing future profitability for business and delivering national and international decarbonisation commitments.
