The tool provides a region-level statistical platform for tracking progress on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development across Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) member states. It offers comparable data, regional profiles and trend projections for core and complementary SDG indicators. Finance professionals may find it useful for analysing long-term economic, social and environmental trends across Latin America and the Caribbean.
Organisation behind the tool
The tool is maintained by ECLAC and its subsidiary body Statistical Conference of the Americas (SCA/CEPAL), under the coordination of the Statistical Coordination Group for the 2030 Agenda in Latin America and the Caribbean.
What the tool does
Provides a regional databank combining official global SDG-indicator data with proxy and complementary indicators relevant to Latin America and the Caribbean. Offers regional SDG statistical profiles by target, facilitating assessment of progress toward each SDG target. Presents analyses of regional progress and projections to 2030, including assessments of which targets are on track, lagging, or off-track. Allows users to view, compare, and download indicator data across countries and sub-regions.
Target audience
The primary intended users are policymakers and national statistical offices in Latin American and Caribbean countries, especially those coordinating SDG implementation and reporting. The tool is also relevant for researchers, international organisations, civil society, and private-sector stakeholders interested in regional development trends.
