McKinsey therefore invest more than US$700 million annually of their firm’s resources in knowledge development, learning and capability building.

The company has also committed to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 25% by 2025, with a further target to utilise 100% renewable energy by 2025. The company has set a goal of providing US$2 billion in cash and in-kind support to social responsibility efforts by 2030. Specific to sustainable finance, McKinsey work closely with private equity firms and investors to create investment strategies, identify and assess the promising opportunities for carbon reductions, and drive success and growth toward sustainability-focused portfolio companies.
