Overview
The Australian Anti-Slavery Commissioner is an independent statutory office holder established under the Australian Government’s Modern Slavery Act 2018. The inaugural Commissioner, Mr Chris Evans, was appointed on 7 November 2024 by the Governor-General for a five-year term.
