WikiRate is a collaborative community and not-for-profit, established to make ESG data more publicly accessible and to help individuals hold companies to account and to help them respond better to the challenges we face today. WikiRate brings data together in one place to forge deeper insights to identify problems and discover solutions through comparisons and sector analysis. WikiRate is working to gather higher quality information about companies and creating better metrics and articles, so anyone can compare companies, and ultimately drive companies to better themselves. The WikiRate community is united by the idea that by making companies more understandable and more transparent, they will in turn become more accountable to their stakeholders: community members, employees, investors, customers, and anyone else affected by a company’s choices.

WikiRate also has several partnerships with universities and advocacy groups that run research projects. Since 2013, WikiRate has facilitated research and analysis on complex topics in collaboration with partners to make ESG data open, comparable and useful. WikiRate’s projects are framed in three active programs committed to opening up datasets on corporate sustainability and transparency. These topics are:
