OVERVIEW
The Sectoral Materiality Tool, developed by UNEP-WCMC, is designed to help finance professionals evaluate environmental materiality across sectors. By linking environmental indicators with standard classification systems (e.g., ISIC, NACE, GICS), the tool provides insights into sector-specific risks and opportunities. It is particularly valuable for aligning investments with sustainable finance goals, conducting environmental due diligence, and supporting ESG integration in decision-making.

Crosswalk ISIC – NACE – GICS:
This sheet provides a crosswalk between ISIC, NACE, and GICS classification systems, facilitating interoperability between these standards. It is particularly useful for finance professionals working across jurisdictions or industries, ensuring consistent materiality assessments regardless of the classification system used.
ISIC Classification:
