The UNEP FI Impact Analysis Tools, developed by the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI), are open-source resources designed for banks, investors, and corporate clients. These tools facilitate the holistic impact analysis and management of business activities, aligning with the UNEP FI’s “Rethinking Impact” framework and the Principles for Positive Impact.
The tools, including the Portfolio Impact Analysis Tool for Banks and the Investment Portfolio Impact Analysis Tool, enable financial institutions to assess the societal and environmental impacts of their portfolios. By inputting relevant data, users can identify key impact areas and evaluate their portfolio’s alignment with sustainability goals. This analysis supports target-setting for better impact, assisting finance professionals in contributing to societal goals while improving performance in impact management.
